How to Cook Healthier Meals
If you want to live healthy, you need the right food. However, it also means that you will have to cook healthy. Fast food and many of the meals you can buy are not very healthy. But, in order to cook healthy, you must know how. In essence, this is a very simple process, and you will have to know several things.
1. Salt may be one of the most important ingredients, but it isn’t very healthy. The solution is to eliminate it from your diet. Of course, in that case, our meals won’t taste good. According to a Chef Benjamin Sommerfeldt, you must make some minor changes, if you want to eliminate salt from your meals. For example, when you make a chicken salad, you should reduce salt, but increase lemon juice and whole grain mustard. In general, you can use fresh and strong herbs in order to mask lack of salt.
2. Cauliflower is rich in vitamin C, antioxidants and fiber. Also, it is very tasty. You can use it to thicken sauces and soups. If you want to use it in soups, replace the cream with cauliflower and milk.
3. Remember that grilling isn’t very healthy. So, you can do two things. You can stop making barbecues, or you can grill healthy food. For example, you can grill a watermelon.
4. Make juice at least once a day. An orange juice or tomato juice is probably the best. You should know that the best juice is made from fresh fruits and vegetables. This is even better if you have your own garden.
